Everywhere at the End of Time

Everywhere At The End Of Time is a series of images inspired by the album of the same name by British artist The Caretaker. Over the course of six and a half hours, the album describes the progression of Alzheimer's disease. The music, which is clear and distinct at first, begins to change as the album progresses, losing its rhythm and coherence. Gradually, all traditional characteristics of music disappear, giving way to an abstract mixture of tones that captures the brain's attempt to consolidate memories and self-awareness in the terminal stages of the disease.

It is this terminal stage that my series deals with, where I used neural networks to create photographs that are a synthesis of my self-portraits and photographs I took in the place where I grew up. The aim of this project was to visually capture this experience of searching for myself, who I am and where I come from, and to express this feeling in an abstract way. The result is a collection of dreamlike landscapes, organic elements, and objects that resemble people and animals.
