Jakub Hayne is a photographer and sculptor whose work examines the underlying structures of contemporary society, with a focus on power, control, and transformation. Drawing on themes such as surveillance, the geopolitical power of water, or the influence of religion on society. In his practice Hayne reflects on the ways in which human systems shape both environment and identity.
Working across photography and sculpture, Hayne creates visually striking works that balance conceptual depth with a strong formal sensibility. His images and objects often combine a sense of precision with an atmosphere of tension, inviting viewers to engage with familiar subjects from new and unexpected perspectives. His work is characterized by a careful attention to material, composition, and the relationship between natural and constructed forms.
Hayne holds a Bachelor’s degree in Photography and is currently completing his Master’s degree at the Silesian University in Opava. His work has been presented at international platforms including Art Market Budapest, BAAM Berlin, OFF Festival Bratislava, and Paradajs Festival in Banská Štiavnica.
